FLUORORESIN

FLUORORESIN

Fluorite – Raw Material for Fluororesins
Fluororesins are produced from minerals, beginning with fluorite ore.
When fluorite is reacted with sulfuric acid (H©üSO©þ), hydrofluoric acid (HF) is formed. By further reacting this HF with various chemicals (CHCl©ý), a gas is generated. Through polymerization or chemical reactions of this gas, PTFE is produced.
Subsequently, through various manufacturing processes, other products such as FEP, PFA, ETFE, and PCTFE are developed.
Fluoropolymers have established themselves as an essential material in diverse industries, as they maintain stable performance even under extreme conditions.
All Fluororesin raw materials of Samil Flontech are supplied entirely through its headquarters, Samil CNF Co., Ltd., ensuring fast delivery and consistent quality.
Fluororesin Properties Sheet

Features

Excellent Chemical Resistance
Exhibits outstanding resistance to almost all chemicals, including strong acids and strong alkalis.
Heat and Cold Resistance
Delivers excellent performance across a wide temperature range (usable from -200¡É to +180¡É) and supports continuous use at 150¡É.
Non-Stick Property
With low surface tension, the material resists wetting and exhibits excellent non-stick characteristics.
Excellent Processability
With melt processability suitable for extrusion, injection, and various molding methods, it allows easy fabrication of complex structures such as tanks, elbows, and tees.
Weather Resistance
Reflects ultraviolet (UV) rays and maintains performance without surface contamination or discoloration, even after prolonged outdoor use.
Flame Resistance
As a flame-retardant material, it prevents the propagation of fire and helps avoid secondary fire hazards.
